Machine Operation

The e50 is a continuous motion, fully automatic endload cartoner. Cartons are loaded in their flat blank form into a low level inclined hopper. Cartons are picked from the hopper via a rotary vacuum arm and are erected into the main flight chain.

The rear minor and bottom major flaps are tucked prior to the carton being conveyed to the operator loading station. The front bottom and top major flaps are ploughed behind guides to allow easy product loading.

Product is loaded into the infeed conveyor, once detected a carton is fed into appropriate pocket for loading, pusher arms transfer the product into the carton. Once filled the front minor and bottom major flaps are tucked. Hot melt adhesive is applied to the bottom major flap; the top flap is then ploughed down over the bottom flap and compressed to bond the flaps together.
